I don't know. Maybe I got mentally weary toward the end or maybe I really missed some parts in Faulkner's stream of consciousness style writing. I just felt like the main point of the book sailed over my head. Yes, I felt for the characters: I didn't LIKE Christmas, but I felt for him, I admired Lena's strength but wondered toward the end if she wasn't completely the self-sufficient woman I pictured her as.

Amy Salamon I hope to. I wasn't sure to get this, The Sound and the Fury, or another one about a burial (can't remember the name). I've never read Faulkner before. I hope this one will be a good introduction.
