it was ok

I've had this one on the bookshelf for a log time. Someone must have recommended it because it's not a book I would probably pick out on my own.

So far it's okay. There are a few illustrations thrown in there and I could do without those, they're horrible. I am not really a fan of Fynn, the male character in this book. The relationship between Anna and Fynn is a bit weird too.

I'll keep trudging on...

update: It's starting to pick up around page 90 (isn't that too far along for a book to pick up?).

The character Anna made me think of a Brian Andreas quote-

"She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short"

update- i have pretty much given up on this just sits on my night stand, lonely. i read some reviews of this book as i wondered if i was the only one who disliked this book. turns out, yup, i'm one of very few. i *get* the book, i get the gist of it, i understand the message being relayed, the point of view and perspective...i just hate the way it was delivered.

another update- i picked it up again. at least i finished it.

Marta I know it's been a very LOOOONG time since you posted this comment but I just started this book and agree with everything you said... from the illustrations, to the Fynn-Anna relationship, to the fact that it just doesn't have that pull-to-read it appeal...

Nice to see that there is someone who also understands the premise but is not willing to give this book 4 or 5 stars
