Most everyone I talked to about this book said, "Really, Janet has a weight problem?" So yes, I, and those other people learned something new about the princess of pop, youngest of nine in the famous/infamous Jackson family. Janet's stories and confessions didn't teach me much about how to live my life, mostly because the realizations she comes to and illustrates in the books were ones I had already experienced. However, I very much appreciated learning about Janet's childhood and young adult life, and I enjoyed her tone and sweetness and strong sense of commitment and honor. Plus she's got a good writing voice (perhaps helped along by a co-writer) and interesting approach to collaborative story telling -I'd read more.
