Conrad Wroth gets imprisoned in an abandoned manor by his brothers. They chain him with mystical chains leaving him there till they figure out how to pull him out of his bloodlust. While trapped in the manor he sees Neomi Laress, a ghost that only he can see. Neomi a ballerina in the 20th was murdered there by her boyfriend and has been living there ever since. Neomi wishes that she was human and Conrad wishes for her to be his bride. Neomi is everything he wants in a women and soon starts to calm down. The more time they spend with each other the more they start to fall in love with each other.

Neomi gets an corporeal form and Conrad gets free of the chains. He finds out that Neomi is his bride. Conrad still has some issues to work out. First there is an dream demon that he has to find and get rid of. And then there are the Woede brothers that are after him for information. Then theres the problem of Neomi being mortal. Conrad strives to protect her at all costs.

I have to say that I'm not really a fan of the Wroth brothers, they just seem so boring to me. (sorry to everyone who are fans of them.)
