I fell in love with fantasy when I read Beauty by Robin McKinley. I quickly read The Hero and the Crown, the Blue Sword, and the Outlaws of Sherwood. I spotted this on the shelf at the library last week, and thought a little Robin McKinley was just what I was in the mood for. I had a vague impression as I read it that I had read it as a child, but it was wonderful all the same. She has such a way with descriptions--even though you know the princess is always going to end up with Prince Charming, it's exciting to follow the story to the end.
