I enjoyed this book. Like most of Fleming's books, it was fast-paced and easy to read. I like the continuity from You Only Live Twice. His transition was a little hard to swallow, but I guess that's what they call suspension of disbelief.

My one complaint, though, was Scaramanga wasn't as much of a criminal mastermind that I hoped he would be. He just seemed like a thug with a good shot. I hoped it would be a good cat-and-mouse game like Bond had with Dr No, Goldfinger, or Blofeld.

Still, it was a good read.
