Mediocre. Such a promising premise; graduate student teaching literature, a baby, set in Seattle, attractive cover. Yet, somehow it fell short, unable to deliver. It was a bit flat and the narrator kept telling the reader she was narrating her story. It was distracting enough that I was never able to forget this was just a book and move into the characters' lives.
