2.5 stars. This was a fun book for the most part, but I found myself skimming the flashback scenes due to lack of interest in the "before."

I know some people found this book a bit over the top, but if you put kids alone, sometimes they get into these types of situations. I had a friend in high school whose dad traveled a lot and we used to have some crazy parties over there where the cops were called more than once, so these things can happen.

True, not all high school kids are into drinking and sex, and nothing about this book was role-model worthy, but the lead female did have to face a pretty scary consequence for one of her decisions at least.

I'm just going to take the book at face value : it was fun, playful and irresponsible. Nothing about it stood out as exceptional, different, or better than any other story to me, but it wasn't a bad time killer either.
