Having read and loved Cornwell's Grail Quest trilogy, I decided to take a dip into his Sharpe series. I'm happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and look forward to the vast catalog that now lies before me.

Jennifer Hoff BBC Playhouse actually shot 14-15 mini-series of the Sharpe books, starring Sean Bean. That's how I originally discovered Bernard Cornwell. They aren't the most hi-tech production, but they definitely are a good way to pass a rainy Sunday afternoon.
