really liked it

This is a very different Joe Sandilands than I've seen before! Less earthy, his introspection of a quite different type. His close relationship with his clear-to-be new partner is an interesting development that may or may not be successful. Were it not part of a series, I certainly would've liked it, but the Joe Sandilands of old is much less evident. It's a clever story, while more than one investigation going on, and a very heavy dose of international politics of all sorts...

There is, too, a decision made by the British government that I find immoral. Something Sandilands of old would've somehow stopped in its tracks...

And I wish he'd go back to India.

I love Joe Sandilands and I'm reading this as slowly as possible so it won't end...
