really liked it
bookshelves: mystery

This is the second book in this series, again set in the city of Jeddah, on the Red Sea, in Saudi Arabia, and again featuring Nayir and Katya. This book introduces Osama, a detective on the police force in Jeddah.
I found this book both harder to get into and more satisfying when I did. Nayir's strict attitudes towards woman have been changing and in this book through his interaction with an American woman, Miriam Walker, they take giant leaps forward (well for Nayir anyways).
