Disappointing- so much about Dodd's first year as US Ambassador to Germany in 32 and 33 but then rushed through the next 3 years when I wanted even more information as to how people didn't see or respond to what was happening in Berlin at the time. Much of the book focussed on daughter Martha who seems to have been wuite a trollope. I expected more from Larson. I was also shocked when I discovered that the story actually ended almost 100 pages before the end of the book (I was reading on my Nook)- the references and bibliography are 100 pages long! I wanted more story.
