I thought this was a great overview. I went into it mainly interested in the ancient history parts, because, you know, that's kinda my thing. I was surprised by how fascinating I actually found the modern history though. There are definitely several topics I was interested in enough to research in more depth. And the narrator was excellent.

I swear that the first half dozen times I saw this I read it as "A Concise History of Middle EARTH." Tolkien != Arabic Nations. D'oh.
