I really enjoyed this book. I don't read too many Y/A books and this felt like it would appeal to anyone from 13-on. I was so impressed with how the author dealt with the subject and how vivid she made a character who no longer exists. I especially liked that the book managed to be more uplifting than depressing while never diminishing the protagonist's powerful experience of loss.
