Extras (Uglies, #4)
by Scott Westerfeld
by Scott Westerfeld
I definitely liked Extras, but I'm not sure if I liked it as much as the others, or if I liked it as sort of a separate story. The lack of Tally sort of annoys me, she is, after all, the character that makes you fall in love with Uglies in the first place. Aya, however, is a pretty strong character, although a little confused about where her place in society should be. She's so obsessed with fame, she loses focus of the more important things in life. The romance is cute, the story is exciting, but the ending is sort of weird.
I'm not sure Extras was really necessary as part of the Uglies series, but was sort of an add on or an afterthought. Overall, I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite.
