I had been wanting to read this book for at least a year before I picked it up at the Coach House Books Open House last week. It did not disappoint. Bok is incredible. Each chapter represents one of the vowels - A,E,I,O or U and all the stories within that chapter are written with words that contain only that vowel. The sounds of that vowels repetition creates a new tone in the text and adds another dimension to the story.
From chapter 'O' - "Loops on bold fonts now form lots of words for books. Books form cocoons of comfort - tombs to hold bookworms." The stories become lyrical. I could read it again and again.
