Read from June 02 to 04, 2011

This book has us following the main character, Jenny through the loss of her Grandmother, then a horrible house fire and reflects upon the loss of her fiance. Then the book has us follow Jenny through finding her Grandmother through her 'Starter' for baking, finding a home where she feels at 'home,' and discovering her true love.

Through this well written novel of life, Susan Wiggs, weaves several other tales of lost love, betrayal, found love and acceptance. Making the story even more realistic is clips of Jenny's long dreamed of cookbook with memories of the family bakery. I'm sold on the Gingerbread with Orange Cream Cheese...the recipe is in the book.

This is an older book but worth going to the bookstores or Amazon and finding it.
