Interesting. I'm not entirely sure what the lovers' "plot" was, but I think that was part of the point. Levithan has some beautiful turns of phrase, and captures these characters and their relationship so it seems real in that unreal way that love has to seem...painful and hopeful and confusing and repetitive, but most of all just lovely.
