I knew the book was a Christian book when I picked it up to read, but I found that strangely easy to ignore. Yes, the characters constantly talked about going to Church and Bible study, and were very happy when they converted someone to Christianity. They even kept talking about God and things like his sovereignity all the time, and brought up Bible verses. The most interesting part about them bringing up the Bible verses, though, was that they didn't actually quote many of them in the book. They'd say "Ecclisastes, chapter 9, verse 3" but if you wanted to know what it said, you had to go looking for it yourself. I was actually tempted to a few times. I might go back in and make notations with the Bible verses in the book, but I don't imagine I'd be terribly interested in them if they were actually written out in the book. Go figure.

I liked the characters. I love the relationship that Laurie and Brandon have. I enjoy the relationship between Laurie and her sisters. I'm amused by the relationship her boyfriend has with one of her sister's husbands.

It's a cute story of a girl who swears she's never going to get married, trying to match up all the single people in her life, and falling, accidentally, in love, herself. I'd be willing to read it a few times. I might even get the sequel, despite the fact that it's all religious.
