excellent story! the characters were very engaging and I could see and smell post-disaster London. one quibble: the child characters, all under the age of 16, often sounded like adults. they were survivors in a hellish world who had learned a lot through horrific experience, but still. anyway, I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel.
