This is an interesting...if frustrating book. I was really pulled in by the premise...a classroom full of literature students are getting bumped off...and it's somehow tied to an author that may or may not exist...and that storyline comes to a satisfying conclusion...and explains all that comes before in a way that doesn't make you balk...but I couldn't buy how deep the conspiracy of "the procedure" went. It was a fun read, but around page 150 I was wishing Lavender would cut to the chase, literally. ...and I guess my final negative note is that I had a hard time separating Alex/Aldiss from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS...the similarities between the two kept taking me out of the book. With all that said, I enjoyed DOMINANCE...fun reading with some excellent insight into how you might read a book.
