I just finished this book a few minutes ago and I really enjoyed it. I spent most of the book with my heart in my mouth as I read of the cruelties that Oddily had to face from the shallow students at her school and my heart went out to her all the way through the book.

Oddily was a cute and adorable heroin (and truly lived up to her name) who was so quiet that she tended to let others walk all over her and bully her without really fighting back. I got a great sense of satisfaction at the end when she finally made a stand for herself. But I thought it was nice that it wasn't concern for herself that prompted her actions but concern for someone else.

Maxim was an OK hero, he grew on me the further I read. He really cares for Oddily and it as refreshing for him to know when he had botched something up and for him to try his level best to fix it.

The science fiction/fantasy element of the book was pretty good and unexpected and added a great twist to the read without being too crazy.

Really enjoyable read.

Can't wait for the second instalment!
