Ok there are a lot of post that explain very well why "Dairy Queen" is a very good book. So, I'm not going to repeat too much ;P
I liked this book because of:
1) DJ, she's so genuine and fresh, that is hard to belive she's not real
2) The writing is amazing. I really belived it was a diary written by a "not so brilliant" teenager (I mean no sophisticated words, simple constructions, ecc...)
3) I like strong female characters that never give up :P
4) Schwenk's farm setting (I can't drink milk, but I spend the whole time reading and thinking about it :D)
5) Schwenk "no talking" family

For sure I'll follow DJ's evolution in the next books

Limonessa I'm thinking it deserves five stars from me too. I loved this series.

Maybe the second book is a real 4 star, but "Dairy queen" is an amazing 5!
