MY FIRST MYSTERY/SUSPENSE READ. I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT READING THIS.
*EXCERPT FROM 'THE DIARY OF A BRIDE TO BE BK 1' PAGE 73*
OBSESSED
I can’t remember who pointed it out, a box full of free books in the lobby of our local library. As usual, I was on the hunt for a Danielle Steele novel. Lo and behold I found one, but it was a title that I already owned, so I bypassed it. Then a curious title caught my eye, ‘The Cove’. It did not have a flashy cover, but I know how deceiving looks can be. So I picked up this book of about 300 pages, read the prologue and decided to take this unassuming book home. I didn’t intend to get so wrapped up in it, but from the 1st page I was hooked. Line by line, page by page, chapter by chapter, it just kept getting better! I could not, I repeat, I could not put it down. I read in the kitchen as I prepared dinner, I read while the children did homework, I read during dinner, I read in the bathroom, I read while the rest of the family watched a movie, I read in bed as the rest of the house slept! I only wanted to finish the chapter I was on when I lay down about midnight. But midnight soon turned into 4:30 a.m. I had to force myself to close the book. That 6:30 wakeup call was approaching fast. I continued to read throughout that next day. Herman must have thought me obsessed, lol. He asked if I felt I could write a book of that nature. Just as good, yes! But fiction suspense is not exactly...
