The "love" story of Lenny and Eunice, while very real, very modern and human, was secondary to the setting. The world Shteyngart has created is something I could fathom myself in before my 35th birthday. That terrifies me. It's everything our technology entrenched lives on steroids, America no longer portraying itself as the center of the universe, the concept of privacy no longer even fantasized of.
