This book is fantastic. The characters are extremely likable. Their
reactions to what is going on around them are very realistic and the characters really develop as the story goes on. The relationships they have with each other help the story flow and make it an easy book to read.

The pacing of this book is excellent and I think thats what made me unable to put it down. There's not too much action or too much dialog. Everything is balanced perfectly. Also, the description is very good and almost paints a picture in your head. Although you never find out who the invaders are I thinks it puts you in the shoes of the characters who have no idea what's going on and really helps you empathize with the group.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
