This is the deal, I am no lover of war, but it is also true that if a nation will last it must have competent generals. So, if you want to understand history, or politics I highly recommend this book. Everything I have read about war seems to be found in this book laid out in clear simple proverbs. This book will also applies to anyone else who is "waging war". A CEO of a corporation would benefit from this book for instance because the sayings are principle based and will apply to many different subjects. I also appreciated the section of the book with the commentary on Sun Tzu's proverbs. This section mentioned different battles and wars that applied (or failed to apply) his principles and what happened as a result. While, I am not certain about the morals this book encourages, I am certain that if you follow the principles of Sun Tzu when you go to war, you will win.
