A good first in the series, English mystery. Lots of murders, but not gruesome or detailed. Takes place after WWI, an ex-soldier who writes mysteries aides a police detective in solving the case. The writer is staying with his aunt and uncle and attends a fundraising fair, put on by a neighbor, when people start dying. All very upper-class, with some slight humor, and a great sportscar in it.
