really liked it
bookshelves: social-reform, non-fic-chapter
Read in September, 1997

I read this book way back in 1997 and still think about all the lessons it has to teach. How much we don't know about disease, how disease is not just an illness but a social indicator or public health, how hard it is to get people to change their views and behavior. Thirty years after the first reported cases of AIDS in North America we have a lot to learn.
