I read virtually all the Doc Savage series when they were reprinted in the 1970. Masterpieces of the pulp fiction genre.

Dave I am glad to find another addict that read each of them as they were released by Bantam. My father, who read the original pulps was the one who got me hooked on it. My brother and I used to battle who would get to read the next one when it came out.

Larry Moniz D, I hear you! Renny, Monk, Long Tom, etc. the group made it interesting as they weren't all featured in each book so it was a revolving series of characters with Doc as the pivotal figure. Wonderful series. I especially loved some of the early gadgets like the autogyro, the windup flashlight, etc. Ditto for Doc jumping on the running board of a car while in hot pursuit!
