I was pleasently surprised by this novel. I was not expecting it to be a series of short stories, which I enjoyed. Sometimes plot lines were a little hard to get into just because it took a while to understand the science that the characters were talking about.

My favorite story was about the robot who could read minds, but how the first law of robotics - that a robot can never harm a human - had an effect on what information it presented.

After the novel, I am really interested to see the movie because I cannot understand how it could be adapted into a film. The tagline "one man saw it coming" is on the front of my copy of the book and it doesn't apply anywhere as far as I could tell.

I loved Susan Calvin's character the best.
