Graham's debut is a funny and breezy read about a road trip, friendship, and music. It was really nice to read a road trip book that wasn't heavy in meaning. While the girls hadn't been friends since "the incident" freshman year, the incident in and of itself takes little page time and it's really not a big deal. In other words, it felt realistic and authentic and I thought the way it was handled was smart.

The three girls each get to tell their stories, and they each have distinct personalities and voices. The third-person narration helps with this quite a bit. There's Alice, the perfectionist planner; Summer, the boy-crazy girl; and Tiernan, the wild child. They're not stereotypes, but rather fully fleshed characters. The road trip story in this book works, too.

There were a few aspects of the book that didn't work for me. While they were meant to be fun, rather than serious, they pulled me out of the story and felt almost too convenient.

Reunited reads like a movie or television show, too, thanks to the pacing and dialog.

Longer review to come.
