When a journalist tries to come with a Grand Unifying theory to explain everything from the fall of the Soviet Union, development of the micro-chip and rise of Indian software industry you get the mess that is titled Flat World. He is just not equipped with the tools to write something as ambitious. Great advertisement for India though. Worthy of a Padmabhushan (Indian govt award).

117760 I say zero stars. Friedman couldn't write his way out of a paper bag. Even reading his articles in the Times make me want to scream. For a laff: http://www.nypress.com/18/16/n...

Nophoto-u-25x33 Ok lets bargain it down to one star. He has done more for dispelling the notion of India as land of elephants and snake charmers than any one I know...Of course he goes on to create another myth of India...a myth I can live with :)
