really liked it
bookshelves: short-stories, fiction, lm-book-club, audiobook
Read from January 30 to February 01, 2012

It was very good, but (as a collection of stories) it didn't live up to her later books.

Each individual story was wonderful, but one of the main themes running through seemed to be how many ways a marriage could be miserable.

I also thought the audio production didn't add to the experience.

Still, it was amazing writing, touching on universal issues while looking into the lives of (mostly) Bengali immigrants.
