really liked it
bookshelves: fastreads, finished, 2007
Read in May, 2007

It would be really easy to over dramatize this subject matter... but the Kim Edwards was able to keep control over her subject and charcters and make them sad and very human.

What I loved the most was the growth of the charcters over time. From the beginning, young/vain/dreamy/ to older/wiser/sad... the changing of relationships both between husbands and wives and parents and their children. This was a quick read, but had enough depth to make you pause at the end.
