** spoiler alert ** Finally finished this one. It was a bit of a slow-starter, not as fast paced as the first two in the trilogy. Perhaps because this one takes place two years down the line and there was some story line that needed to be added, maybe because there was a seven month gap between reading the second book and starting the third. All I know for sure is, once this book got going, it really got going. About a third of the way in I started reading it at every possible opportunity, as I had with the other two. It took about two months to get through the first third, and about two weeks to finish it. Amazing writing, amazing story, amazing characters, amazing everything. For people who love scary vampires, this book is a must read.

Now, my thoughts on the ending. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY KILLED ZACH! Oh, I was so upset at that. I thought, even if Eph died, that Zach would survive and grow and live and the line would go on. But no. I couldn't believe it. If the book would have ended right there I swear I would have thrown my Kindle through the window. Luckily, it didn't. I did like how they kept Nora and Fet together, with Eph's blessing really, and how they had two children, and all of that. It still doesn't make up for killing off Zach, but at least there was some hope left at the end of it all.

Now, for the important question: When's the movie coming out?

Caz Edmunds Just finished and although Im sad that Zack had to die, I think the authors had no idea on how to bring him back "mentally" even after the Master is gone. So if you can't solve the problem, just nuke it. :(

Would've wanted Eph to continue & accept that his son is gone and like all dads who grieve for the loss of a wayward son, would still live out the rest of his life; in love, forgiveness and hope. :)
