Slob was a great Contemperary fiction book. They really tied in the title with everything relating in the book. I have never read any book similar to this one, which is good because I dislike when a book is very common and has had the same story told in multiple books. The way all of the characters interact is very unique. This book sadly is much like a real life situation. As sad as it is, people are prejudice against others just because of things like they are larger than everyone else. This book really shows that and it raises awareness of it. Maybe if people read this book they will think twice next time they are about to make a rude comment about someone.

The relationship between Owen and his mother is very unique. You never would have guessed this story would have been about murder. The truth is it's all based on the murder of his parents. Even though his mother in the book is not his real one, he still treats her with the same love and respect. Since his parents died when he was younger, he had a longer time to get used not having those parents around. He has become used to having new parents.

The entire premise of the story is based off of Nemesis. Nemesis is Owen's invention he making try to see who killed his parents. Jeremy knows his invention will not work, but he has worked so hard on it. She tricks him into thinking it's working, but when he finds out he is very angry at her. This makes him feel like he was so stupid to believe it was working. Jeremy and Owen soon made up and Owen realized that just because he knows who killed his parents it's not going to make his parents comeback and he needs to be at peace with his life in the present instead of always focusing on the past.
