What a sweet, lovely little story. I wish I had read it long ago. I 100% enjoyed this read.

I loved Ruth (mother), what an amazing woman! 12 children, living as a pioneer. Strong, faithful, God-fearing, beautiful! Just as a true, classical feminist should be! Exactly as I should be.

The idea of everyone helping one another, especially the siblings, thinking of all else first, then themselves, I'm sure it wasn't, or isn't ever that good in real life, but we surely should try harder to emulate that example.

Paul (father) being so loving and gentle with his wife. Wonderful!

None too much can be said about Laddie and the Princess. What a pure and clean courtship. I wish the practice of courtship was still in fashion. What a better world we'd be living in if it were. That is what I would call virtuous!

An all over, feel good, makes you love goodness kind of book!
