Maybe I just didn't get it, but The Bridge (my copy, anyway) is basically a 100 page fable sandwiched in 60 pages of stuff about how awesome it is. Which seems in bad taste. And then, after all that, the book itself isn't even particularly engaging. That said, there are of course some pretty decent parts. I did learn what the word rachitic means, although I'm not sure it will be real useful in the future.
