Although i'm giving three stars, this book faired better in my opinion than the widely beloved The Alchemist, i was more prepared for Coelho's witting style and educational intentions. But again what stands out and makes it an overall "good" book, is the message he is trying to convey. Everyone can fall victim to temptation but it is how you face/combat it that determines the goodness of your nature or the evil of your nature. Excuses aside, justifications and the unfairness of life aside, it all comes down to choice and how you choose to act.
What entices me about Coelho and makes me a great respecter of his work is that every book imparts upon the reader the most basic and simplest of knowledge, and he accomplishes this with such easy to comprehend language. As a reader you walk away thinking, "i know all this already, deep within my soul, but how wonderful to take time to give it such in-depth contemplation."
