Did anyone else think that the parallel between the story of the soldiers getting honey in on their journey that they had to eat for days until it was seen as "at least nourishment and medicine to the bones" was similar to manna in the old testament? Anyone else find that correlation amusing? On other matters Xenophon is a bit of a hoot for being somewhat self interested is he not? I found the writing very plain and easy to read. The story got boring in a few bits but had a lot of good moments as well. If you are looking for a story to entertain you, this may not be it. However, for the history and a look into the lives of warriors on a long and, somewhat arguably, pointless expedition; this is pretty good.
