There's something that is such a comfort in reading a Jill Shalvis book. Her stories are consistently great. They are funny, charming reads with just the right dose of emotion. No matter what series of hers I'm reading, I'm pretty much guaranteed to enjoy it immensely. The Lucky Harbor series is one of my very favorites!
I have been waiting for Chloe's and Sawyer's story since the beginning. I think we all had a pretty strong inkling in book one that they were going to be matched up, and the anticipation has been killing me! The wild girl and the straight-arrow cop is a classic pairing, and Jill Shalvis did a great job putting her own spin on it. These two are great together, and the paint scene, in particular, gave me a really good laugh;)
So, now each sister has her man, a beautiful B&B to run, and a quirky town to call home! The best news, to me, is that this series will continue with the next book, Lucky In Love. The bad news? Lucky In Love isn't released until May 2012. Sigh. Well, if nothing else, it gives us all plenty of time to reread the first three books in the series. And, really, why wouldn't you? Who couldn't use an extra dose of Jill Shalvis's comfort, charm, and fun??

You took the words right out of my mouth...nicely done. I really needed this one, I've been reading books filled with tension and angst, and this one had me smiling, big happy...I love Sawyer smiles! :))

These really are comfortable stories because you read them knowing that there will be a happily ever after that will melt your heart! Wonderful review, as always!

It takes nothing away from her creativity, but there IS a great comfort in knowing I can turn to one of her books to put a smile on my face:)
That's it, exactly, Elizabeth! There are times I need to know what I'll be getting, and I can always count on Jill Shalvis to deliver a great story, fantastic characters, and a heartwarming happily ever after. HOW she delivers it is the magic of her writing, but the fact that she always does is what keeps me coming back for more.
