This book had me hooked from page one. It had me crying from page one. I couldn't put it down for a good part of it. But then something was off, i began not enjoying it that much so i stopped reading it. And after a few weeks, i picked it up again and finished it in one sitting.
This wasn't what i was expecting to read, the description was misleading. It had a good dose of drama, romance, and suspence. It might dragged on a little bit at times, saying the same thing over and over again in different words but apart from that it was really good.
It started as drama, continued on as romance and then it ended as a suspence, thriller book. The last few pages were simply brilliant. I couldn't figure out what was really going on. I guess the reason why i stopped reading it for a while was because i couldn't see how this story could possibly develop, and now i see that this fact made it an awesome read, not knowing what to expect. A multi-layered book, lots of issues raised, many of them really harsh and down right depressing.
I can't say i loved the protagonists but i sympathized. They were intersting enough for me to keep on reading. This book was supposed to be about Luke one of the two Rafferty siblings but it was more about Devon. We don't really know much about him, apart from a little info about his past. The book is also introducing us to Quinn, the second brother and the one character that i really found interesting and was eager to learn any tidbits about him along the way. It may need some time getting used to, but this book is totally worth your time.
