The only thing that saved this story was the secondary characters. They were more fleshed out and interesting than the main ones. Can we have an entire story revolving around the deranged garbage-disposal bunny slippers who are afraid of heights? Or maybe Irma? The ghost who haunts Jazz's Thunderbird? Because I'd give that at least a 2-star rating.

Jazz, the main character, a witch who likes to overuse the word "Magick", might be bi-polar. Is that a thing in the witchy word? I don't know. Someone should look into that. And Nick. Wow. He was pretty forgettable, wasn't he?

I've heard the other books in the series are better. Funnier. More interesting. I'll take their word for it.
