My thoughts…
Wow…I loved this book. I received an email from the author asking me if I would read and review it. She was so sweet and wanted to send it to me but if you have a Kindle…it is a mere $2.99 at Amazon. I bought it for myself. It is truly a delicious book…full of teen age angst and mystery. It was totally engaging and captured the reality of two best friends who have spent all of their lives together waiting for a sixteenth birthday that will change everything that they have ever known. They aren’t certain what is going to happen when they turn sixteen but they have literally spent their entire lives waiting for it. Mia and Loie are under the impression that amazing powers will be bestowed upon Mia. Mia is the special one…she has the big house and pool and is beautiful while Loie believes that she is just the poor tagalong best friend who is special because she hangs with someone who is special. They practice telekinetics and they spend hours waiting for Mia to acquire her powers. As it gets closer and closer to Mia’s birthday…which is also Loie’s birthday…life becomes more and more strange and very dangerous. Shadows and beings from another realm appear to stalk Mia and Loie and just before school starts a new student appears…English, mysterious and handsome, of course. He appears to be a protector sent to watch over the girls to try to keep them safe. This book was everything I love in a book of this kind. Lots of scary bits and lots of mystery and a satisfying ending but one that leaves you pacing for the next book in the series. Literally pacing…even emailing the author to remind her that she should be writing…

I am loving those deals on Kindle. Also, I've been getting good ones from the Lendle Kindle.

LOL. Okay, maybe I should have just said Lendle instead of using the name of one of my book shelves. ;)

You have. :) I mentioned it to you a few weeks back. Not sure how I heard. I've been reading so much about Kindle that I stumbled across it. I've already borrowed a book and loaned one. It's way cool.

Nope, haven't named my Kindle, only the shelves.
