Old Yeller
It is about a boy named Travis living with his sister, Alice and mom. Travis always wanted a horse to ride on but every time the dad said, " when you are a man,". The dog came to the house one time and ate the meat they hunted for and lay down dirty and guilty. Travis made the dog go but Alice always said no and actually the mom makes them keep the dog. They named it Old yeller because of its color. Travis started to like the dog and took it out for hunting and they had fun. It saved Alice's life once, the mom, and Travis himself. This made everyone like him. Later on the owner asked for the dog back but Alice exchanged it with her frog. Later a disease struck the animals. Old Yeller was trying to save Travis' mom from the diseased bull and unfortunately it bit Old yeller but he was able to save them.

My favorite character of this book is old yeller because his a great dog and takes care of the family. He knows how to do so much things and he’s a very smart dog. While reading this book I felt anxious to see what will happen next to old yeller because Travis dint like his and will try everything to get rid of him.
My least favorite character was Travis because he dint like old yeller and he was trying to get rid of him. My favorite line is when old yeller saves Alice’s life from the wolf. My favorite part of the book was when Travis started getting along with old yeller because they would always be together and would do everything together and at first Travis dint like him and ended up loving him and even had to kill old yeller.
