Skylar Burris Intriguing. I actually think access to the internet is one of the few things that has enabled me to keep my brain continuously stimulated during my stay at home with young children years. Reading stimulates the brain, to be sure, but the exchange of ideas that the internet facilitates stimulates it even more. I do find myself skimming a lot more since the advent on the Internet, however. Of course, that could just be that as you get older and have read thousands of books, things start to seem repetitive and you can figure out where things are going and what the point is without actually reading every word.
