Beach Lane (Chesapeake Shores #7)

by Sherryl Woods
What an amazing read. Just when I thought I'd had enough of the O'Briens, Beach Lane comes along.
Sherryl Woods talent is never in question. She takes the ordinary and makes it memorable. No car chases. No mistaken identities. Just everyday people in everyday situations, written in such a way that you WANT to spend time with them, learn about each one, and perhaps even learn about yourself and your own friends and family as you compare Ms. Woods well-drawn characters with your own.
But the trick to continuing series is figuring out when to move on -- and I had thought I was ready to leave Chesapeake Shores.... and then Beach Lane appeared.
I won't spoil the story and go in to too much detail - but suffice to say that Mack and Susie use every page of this book to solidify a relationship everyone else has seen coming for a long time. Put a box of tissues nearby before you start though, because the road home is more than a little treacherous.
