I needed a quick, easy read after the heavy Cutting For Stone. I figured: what could be better than a mainstream author like this? It was my first James Patterson book. I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. It was just what I needed -- a quick, easy read. I can see why he is popular with the general public. He writes on a junior high level. He's not the world's best author to say it nicely. But it was a fun, unexpected story. I'll check another one of his books out in a few months.
