I'm rating this as the audiobook, because Richard Armitage's narration gets a star all of its own, otherwise I'd rate it 3 stars. I enjoyed the audiobook, but while I know people LOVE this book, I simply wasn't one of them. I didn't feel much of a connection to the characters, and in fact quite thoroughly disliked one or the other of them at different times of the book. But the story/book did get me through several long drives.

I think anyone who loves this book, loves Heyer, should listen to Armitage's presentation of it. He was brilliant in the different voices, and his delivery, cadence and pacing spot on.
